Convert hiragana to halfwidth katakana.
Choose Hiragana → Halfwidth kana · ひらがな → 半角カナ in Japanese Characters. This converts hiragana and fullwidth katakana to halfwidth kana. In this mode, fullwidth Latin letters and numbers stay as they are.
- Check the destination field’s instructions: hiragana, katakana and halfwidth katakana are different requirements.

Change numbers without changing kana.
Choose Fullwidth → Halfwidth · 全角 → 半角. Enable Numbers and disable Letters, Spaces, Kana and Symbols.

Check the destination form.
Copy the result into the field and review its validation message. Check whether spaces are allowed and whether the field expects hiragana, katakana or halfwidth katakana. The converter does not validate a person’s name or the destination form’s rules.
