Start with two example images.
Open Frame and select Try sample images. The built-in inputs are 640 × 400 and 320 × 200 pixels. You can also download the first input and the smaller input. These synthetic images make the workflow reproducible; they do not test how a face or text in a photograph survives a crop.
For your own work, keep the original and start with enough pixels for the destinations you need.
Select the pack. Inspect every crop.
Select Story + post + website pack. It chooses Story 1080 × 1920, Portrait post 1080 × 1350 and Website. Leave File type on Auto for this example.
- Use Preview image and Preview format to inspect each combination.
- For a social crop, adjust Horizontal position, Vertical position and Zoom when needed.
- Choose Keep full image when preserving the whole composition matters more than filling the frame.
- Check the preview again before selecting Prepare downloads.
Story and portrait enlarge both small examples. Enlargement gives the requested output dimensions but cannot add source detail. Website keeps the aspect ratio, fits within 1920 × 1920 and does not enlarge these inputs. It is not a square crop.
Check the six exported files.
| Built-in input | Story JPG | Portrait post JPG | Website WebP |
|---|---|---|---|
| image.png · 640 × 400 | 1080 × 1920 | 1080 × 1350 | 640 × 400 |
| image-small.png · 320 × 200 | 1080 × 1920 | 1080 × 1350 | 320 × 200 |
The checked ZIP contains six image exports. Use the previews to compare crops; these sources are enlarged for the social presets.
The example ZIP was downloaded and opened. All six images decoded with the expected formats and dimensions. The ZIP was 518,062 bytes in this check; another source, setting or browser can produce a different size.
Inspect your actual downloaded files, not only the previews. Check cropping, small lettering, transparency and the destination layout before sharing them. A file prepared for download is not proof that it looks right in the final publication.
Keep the limits visible.
Frame accepts up to 40 still JPG, PNG, WebP or BMP images, 20 MB each and 150 MB per input batch. The output batch is limited to 80 MB. HEIC, SVG and animated images are unsupported. JPG uses a white background for transparency. Keep an original copy; exported metadata is not carried over.
Images are processed in the browser. The example is a workflow check, not a guarantee of perfect crops or a particular compression percentage for your files.
